Feel Architecture was tasked with replacing a series of aging bedroom bungalows annexed to a beachfront villa in Assinie, Ivory Coast. Our approach was not only to redesign but to reimagine — creating a new architectural language grounded in the rhythms of the landscape and responsive to the realities of local construction.

Elevated floors are framed between masonry walls that gently define each unit, ensuring both privacy and spatial clarity. This system was conceived to be straightforward to construct, using materials and methods readily accessible to local artisans — a key decision in a site where access and logistics present ongoing challenges.

Each room opens out to expansive views of a lush garden filled with towering palm trees, blending the indoors with the coastal outdoors. The design prioritizes both climate and context, offering a serene, low-impact retreat in harmony with its tropical setting
